Welcome
A house with a long memory
Hawthorn House has stood at the edge of Foxglove Hollow since before the town had paved roads, one of the finest examples of Victorian craftsmanship left in the county. Generations of the Brackenhollow family have kept its doors open, its porch swept, and its stories carefully, sometimes too carefully, tucked away.
This week, the house is fuller than usual. Foxglove Hollow's annual Heritage Festival has brought visitors from out of town, and the reading of the late Eleanor Brackenhollow's will on October 1st has brought a few unexpected guests along with them, family some of us knew, and at least one face nobody here recognized. We're glad to have you here, whoever you are, and however you found your way to us.
The Town
Foxglove Hollow's Main Street
The old town center hasn't changed much in spirit, even as the storefronts have. One thing has, though: the deed office, which used to sit two doors down from the old church, before its records were quietly folded into the County Historical Archive a few years back. Festival weekend brings the whole street to life, just steps from our front porch.
This Week
The Heritage Festival
Foxglove Hollow's oldest tradition, three days of music, history walks, and old-town charm, right outside our front door.
