A Note On This Page
Everything below is public information, the kind anyone could find just by looking closely. Sometimes that's all an investigation really is: noticing what's already in plain sight.
Owen grew up at Hawthorn House and has returned this week for the reading of his grandmother's will. He's a familiar face to the staff, if a little more tired than usual these days. He's been spending long hours going through the house room by room.
Ruth runs an antiques business two towns over and has returned to Foxglove Hollow for the first time in years. She's been a quiet but near-constant presence in the house this week, often seen deep in conversation, or just as often, alone.
Nate has kept Hawthorn House standing for over two decades and lives in the small cottage on the property. Not technically a "guest" this week, but it's hard to imagine the house without him, and harder still to imagine him not knowing every creak in its floorboards.
Priya runs the town's small historical archive and has spent years researching Foxglove Hollow's founding families, including the Brackenhollows. She arrived at Hawthorn House two days before the will reading, by invitation, with a folder of research she'd been hoping to share. The archive's digital records are old enough that she still logs in with the same password she's used since 2019, something she jokes she really ought to change one of these days: foxglove1864.
Jonas arrived in Foxglove Hollow this week for the first time, following a family connection he only recently began to trace. He'd written to Eleanor twice before his visit, hoping to learn more about a piece of family history that had never quite been settled.
